If it’s your first appointment with us, it will usually take two hours. That’s how in-depth we go with your dental care! Here is what you can expect:

First Half – You’ll go into our consultation room, and Dr. Rawlings will explain our approach to care. She’ll review your oral health history, do a head and neck exam, and take clinical photographs and digital X-rays. We’ll do an exam, looking for signs of cavities, gum disease, oral cancer, and other underlying issues. We want your teeth to last a lifetime, so we want to catch any problems in the early stages.
Second Half– The next half of your appointment will include a thorough dental cleaning. We may do gum care if needed. Dr. Rawlings will create a treatment plan to restore your dental health and oral function. Depending on our findings and your goals, you may need to return for another appointment. We’ll make sure you’ll understand the pros and cons of going forward with any treatment.
